KIREI SV 260X is a premium shear-stable hydrogenated styrene-diene (HSD) polymer, designed for use as a viscosity modifier in all-season heavy-duty engine oils with extended drain intervals of the following classes: API CK-4/CJ-4/CI-4, ACEA E9/E7/E4/E6, MB 228.51/228.5/228.3, MAN 3477/3277/3275, Cummins 20078, Caterpillar ECF-3, and others.
This star-shaped viscosity modifier provides excellent shear stability, outstanding viscometric performance, and superior oxidation stability. It demonstrates very low pour points, excellent low-temperature CCS and MRV viscosities in combination with most pour point depressants. Compared to standard OCP viscosity modifiers, it reduces thickener consumption by up to 60%. Compared to KIREI SV 260, it features a denser structure.
40% longer oil life – Thanks to its high shear stability (Bosch test SSI=11), engine oils formulated with KIREI SV 260X maintain their viscosity grade (Stay-In-Grade) for extended periods, ensuring stable pressure and reducing wear in heavy-duty engines.
30% reduction in engine wear – With its enhanced shear stability, KIREI SV 260X maintains high HTHS viscosity, keeping the oil film thick and reliable, reducing friction and wear even under elevated temperatures and loads.
15% better low-temperature properties – Its star-shaped structure and absence of long paraffinic chains provide improved low-temperature pumpability (CCS/MRV) compared to conventional OCP thickeners.
