KIREI SV 260 L3

About this item

KIREI SV 260 L3 is a liquid premium hydrogenated styrene-diene (HSD) polymer with high shear stability, designed for use as a thickener in all-season heavy-duty engine oils with extended drain intervals of classes API CK-4/CJ-4/CI-4, ACEA E9/E7/E4/E6, MB 228.51/228.5/228.3, MAN 3477/3277/3275, Cummins 20078, Caterpillar ECF-3, and others.
This star-shaped viscosity modifier demonstrates very high shear stability, excellent viscometric performance combined with outstanding oxidative stability. It provides very low pour points, low-temperature viscosities (CCS and MRV) when combined with most pour point depressants. Compared to standard OCP thickeners, it reduces thickener consumption by up to 60%.

KEY TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES

40% longer oil life – Due to its high resistance to shear degradation in the Bosch test (SSI = 11), engine oils formulated with KIREI SV 260 L3 remain in their viscosity grade (Stay-In-Grade) for a prolonged period, ensuring stable pressure and reducing wear in heavy-duty engine systems.

30% reduction in engine wear – Thanks to the excellent shear stability of KIREI SV 260 L3, a high level of High-Temperature High-Shear (HTHS) viscosity is maintained. The oil film retains its required thickness, reducing friction and wear even under high temperatures and heavy loads.

15% better low-temperature performance – Owing to its star-shaped structure and the absence of long paraffinic chains, this thickener significantly improves low-temperature pumpability (CCS/MRV) compared to conventional OCP thickeners.
