KIREI PPD SLT is a polymethacrylate-based pour point depressant. It is used to lower the pour point of engine, transmission, and industrial oils by controlling the co-crystallization of paraffins. It reduces the risk of wax plate formation by inhibiting their growth, ensuring good oil pumpability at low temperatures. The depressant provides excellent low-temperature performance in CCS and MRV tests and ensures a low pour point across a wide range of base oils, including Group I, Group II, and Group III, in combination with most OCP/HSD viscosity modifiers.
The recommended dosage is 0.25–0.5%, with the potential to reduce the pour point of oils by up to 20°C. In addition to its pour point depressant properties, it also improves the viscosity index of base oils and enhances CCS/MRV performance.
