KIREI SV 260 is a premium hydrogenated styrene-diene (HSD) polymer resistant to degradation, designed for use as a viscosity modifier in all-season heavy-duty engine oils with extended drain intervals of API CK-4/CJ-4/CI-4, ACEA E9/E7/E4/E6, MB 228.51/228.5/228.3, MAN 3477/3277/3275, Cummins 20078, Caterpillar ECF-3 and others. This star-shaped viscosity modifier has very high shear stability, providing excellent viscometric performance in combination with outstanding oxidative stability. It demonstrates very low pour points, low-temperature viscosities CCS and MRV when combined with most pour point depressants. Compared to standard OCP viscosity modifiers, it reduces thickener consumption by up to 60%.
KEY TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES
40% longer oil life – thanks to its high resistance to degradation in the Bosch test (SSI=11), engine oils based on KIREI SV 260 remain in their viscosity grade (Stay-In-Grade) for an extended period, ensuring pressure stability and reducing wear in heavy-duty engine systems.
30% less engine wear – due to the high resistance of KIREI SV 260 thickener to degradation, it provides high HTHS viscosity, while the oil film in the engine retains its required thickness, reducing friction and wear even under high temperatures and loads.
15% better low-temperature properties – due to its star-shaped structure and absence of long paraffinic chains, the thickener improves low-temperature pumpability (CCS/MRV) compared to conventional OCP thickeners.
