Polymerized 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline

Polymerized 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline is an especially effective antioxidant in ester containing fluids andgrease formulations. It can be easily incorporated into gear oils, turbine oils, hydraulicfluids compressor oils and greases. Polymerized 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline provides good protection against degradation due to heat and oxygen. High performance industrial lubricants and greases can be developed using Polymerized 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline as the amine portion of the formulation.

Polymerized 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline may used in combination with other antioxidants such as alkylated diphenylamines and/or hindered phenolics. Typical treat levels may range from 0.05 to 1.0 percent by weight. Polymerized 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline significantly improves the oxidative stability of the base oil.

 

HANDLING INFORMATION

Product remains stable for up to two years when stored under normalconditions in a cool dry place away from direct sources of heat and light.
