GTL 8

GTL 8 is a gas-to-liquids technology synthetic paraffinic base oil obtained using Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis of natural gas.GTL 8 base oil is suitable for use in formulating high-quality 5W/Xand 10W/X engine oils. It doesn’t contain Sulphur, has very high viscosity index and low NOACK evaporation. GTL 8conforms with API/ATIELBase Stock Group III (Group III+) and it is used also in compressor and hydraulicoil formulations as well as in gear and circulation oils (ISO VG 46).

 

HANDLING INFORMATION

GTL 8 is non-corrosive and it can be stored in mild steelcontainers. The product is practically non-irritating to skin and eyes.Compliance with good industrial guidelines recommended.The temperature during storage and transportation should not exceed 50°C.

 

SAFETY INFORMATION

GTL 8 isof low toxicity when inhaled, swallowed or in contact with skin in laboratory animals. No irritation of skin or eyes has been observed and there is no evidence of allergic skin reaction or respiratory sensitization from animal studies.It is classified for aspiration toxicity, category 1 (H 304) according to UN GHS criteria.For more extensive information on the safe handling and use of this product, see the Material Safety Data Sheet.
