3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydrocinnamic acid, C₇-C₉ branched alkyl ester is a liquid hindered phenolic for use as an antioxidant in mineraland synthetic base stocks that are typically employed in lubricant applications. Itis recommended for applications that operate below 140°C. For applications thatoperate at greater than 140°C, itcan be easily used in conjunctionwith a diphenylamine antioxidant such as it to preventdegradation. Itcan easily be incorporated into engine oils, gear oils,turbine oils, hydraulic fluids, compressor oils, and greases.

It is recommended that 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydrocinnamic acid, C7-C9 branched alkyl ester be stored in a cool dry area.
