2,2’-Thiobis(4-methyl-6-tert-butyl-phenol) is a high performance sulfur-containing hindered phenol that can beused as a primary or secondary antioxidant for lubricants formulated with mineral oilsand synthetic fluids. It offers well proven cost effective performance on its own or incombination with suitable aminic antioxidants.

APPLICATIONS 

2,2’-Thiobis(4-methyl-6-tert-butyl-phenol) can be used in a broad range of lubricants, in both automotive andindustrial applications and is particularly effective in hydraulic fluids andcirculating oils.

Itis recommended to use in lubricants that utilize severely refinedbase stocks and synthetic fluids. It can be used in conjunction with a range of diphenylamine antioxidants for high temperature applications. Typical Treatment Rate: 0.1 – 1.0 wt.%.

 

STORAGE

Product is stable under normal storage conditions. Store away from any source of ignition, in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Keepcontainer tightly closed when not in use.Avoid iron contamination as with most phenolic antioxidants.
